About Us

Welcome

My name is Najala Segura. I was born and raised in New York City. I am a mother of 3 beautiful kids, 2 dogs, and a wife to a wonderful man of 16 years. I became a nurse in 2015 then decided to join the Army as a 68C. I am now a retired army veteran dedicated to spreading love, hope, and happiness. My hobbies include caring for my family, training my dogs, baking, gym, and riding motorcycles but my heart has been invested in Arts and crafts. I discovered the craft world during the COVID pandemic. Like many other crafters, I started off scrapbooking. I discovered the Cricut machine which introduced me to the handmade gifts and DIY projects . Enjoying the die-cutting life, creating customized wine glasses, T-shirts, and decals I found myself creating Cricut cards.

What’s the best thing about card making I think? It’s a hobby that does not need a specific photos or themes. It provides ample opportunity to create a card year-round. From holidays to special events to everyday greeting cards you can always create some sort of handmade card regardless of the month, week or day. Like many of us these days I learned the basics of card making through YouTube videos and the internet. Creating homemade cards became my go-to craft when I wanted to be creative and had no photos to scrapbook. Being in the military it was nice to have a hobby that allowed me to be vulnerable, creative, and mentally free from the stress and life of being a soldier. However, due to the demands of my job, I one day found myself giving away my crafts supplies.

During my military career, I learned not only the skills and training of being an American Soldier but also the importance of mental health. I enjoyed being a Soldier in the army and would serve my country again anytime. I have met the most amazing people during my service. I am and have been mentored by some of the most dedicated and inspirational NCOs (leaders) the army could have. Unfortunately, I experienced a tragedy that changed my life and future forever. Though being in the military we’re trained and prepared for many traumas we have and or will endure during our service, there are somethings you can never be prepared for. I lost my Battle buddy, brother, and friend to suicide Aug 2022. The effect of his death led to me being retired from the army in 2023.
